Bone Systems s.r.o. ("we," "our," or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how PlanForge ("the App") handles your information.

1. Information We Collect

1.1 Data You Create

PlanForge allows you to create and manage project data, including:

• Project information (names, dates, budgets)
• Tasks and subtasks
• Resources and team members
• Expenses and financial data
• Baselines and project snapshots
• Risk assessments
• Calendar events

Storage: All this data is stored locally on your Mac in the application's sandbox container. We do not have access to this data.

1.2 License Validation

When you purchase or validate your license, we may collect:

• License key
• Device identifier (for license activation)
• Purchase receipt validation data (handled by Apple)

Purpose: This information is used solely to validate your license and prevent unauthorized use of the App.

1.3 Analytics and Crash Reports

We do not collect any analytics or crash reports. If you choose to send crash reports through macOS's built-in crash reporting system, those are handled by Apple according to their privacy policy.

2. How We Use Your Information

2.1 Local Data Processing

All your project data is processed locally on your Mac. The App uses this data to:

• Display your projects, tasks, and resources
• Calculate costs, timelines, and dependencies
• Generate reports and exports
• Sync with Apple Calendar (if you choose to export)

2.2 License Management

License information is used to:

• Verify your purchase
• Activate the App on your device
• Provide customer support

3. Data Storage and Security

3.1 Local Storage

All your project data is stored in:

• Your Mac's file system (in .planforge files you create)
• The App's sandbox container (for preferences and temporary data)

You have complete control over your data files and can back them up, move them, or delete them at any time.

3.2 Security Measures

We implement security measures including:

• App Sandbox: The App runs in a sandboxed environment, limiting access to system resources
• Hardened Runtime: Protection against code injection and memory corruption
• Code Signing: The App is signed with our Apple Developer certificate
• Notarization: The App is notarized by Apple for additional security verification

3.3 No Cloud Storage

PlanForge does not use cloud storage. Your data never leaves your Mac unless you explicitly:

• Export it to a file (HTML, PDF, PNG, CSV)
• Sync tasks with Apple Calendar
• Share project files with others

4. Data Sharing and Third Parties

4.1 No Data Sharing

We do not sell, trade, or share your personal information or project data with third parties.

4.2 Apple Services

The App uses Apple's services for:

• App Store: Purchase and license validation (handled by Apple)
• Calendar Integration: If you choose to export tasks to Apple Calendar, that data is handled according to Apple's privacy policy

4.3 No Third-Party Analytics

We do not use any third-party analytics services, advertising networks, or tracking tools.

5. Your Rights and Choices

5.1 Data Access and Control

You have complete control over your data:

• Access: All your data is stored in files you can access at any time
• Modify: You can edit or delete any data within the App
• Export: You can export your data to various formats (HTML, PDF, PNG, CSV)
• Delete: You can delete projects, tasks, or the entire App and all its data

5.2 GDPR Rights (EU Users)

If you are in the European Union, you have the following rights:

• Right to Access: You can access all your data at any time
• Right to Rectification: You can correct any inaccurate data
• Right to Erasure: You can delete your data by deleting project files
• Right to Data Portability: You can export your data in standard formats

Since all data is stored locally on your device, you have direct control over these rights without needing to contact us.

6. Children's Privacy

PlanForge is not intended for children under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. The App is rated 4+ in the App Store as it contains no objectionable content, but it is designed for professional use.

7. International Data Transfers

Since all data is stored locally on your Mac, there are no international data transfers. Your data remains in your physical location.

8. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by:

• Posting the new Privacy Policy on this page
• Updating the "Last Updated" date at the top of this policy
• Providing an in-app notification for significant changes

Your continued use of the App after any changes indicates your acceptance of the updated Privacy Policy.

9. Data Retention

Your project data is retained on your Mac until you choose to delete it. We do not have access to your data and cannot delete it remotely.

License information is retained as long as necessary to provide you with the service and comply with legal obligations.

10. California Privacy Rights

If you are a California resident, you have specific rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA):

• Right to Know: You can request information about the data we collect (which is minimal and stored locally)
• Right to Delete: You can delete your data by removing the App and its files
• Right to Opt-Out: We do not sell your personal information
